Excise inspector, three officers arrested over shooting in Bambalapitiya
An Excise Inspector and three Excise officers were arrested over the shooting incident reported in Bambalapitiya this evening.
A gang of unidentified gunmen who arrived in a van through a by-road had fired shots at a car near a fuel station on the Marine Drive at Bambalapitiya.
Police said both vehicles had fled the scene after the shooting and several empty bullet shells have been recovered from the scene.
Bambalapitiya police are investigating.
