Emergency disaster situation declared in Kandy

Colombo, Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror) - An Emergency Disaster Situation has been declared for the Kandy district due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions, the Kandy District Secretary said today.

According to officials, continuous heavy rainfall over the past several days has increased the risk of floods, landslides, and earth slips across multiple vulnerable areas in the district.
