’Dunumala Sarath’ shot dead
An underworld figure known as 'Dunumala Sarath' has been shot dead at the Dunumalawaththa area in Galapitamada, Warakapola.
Police said he was shot at this morning while travelling in a cab by unidentified men.
The victim died on the spot and police are investigating to arrest the suspects.
It was reported that 'Dunumala Sarath' was an accused in a murder committed in 2015.
