Dominican national nabbed with Hashish worth over Rs. 375Mn

Colombo, June 20 (Daily Mirror) - A 24-year-old Dominican national has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for allegedly attempting to smuggle a large stock of Hashish into the country.

Sri Lanka Customs officials seized 37 kilograms and 675 grams of Hashish from the suspect during the operation.

According to Customs, the seized narcotics have an estimated street value of more than Rs. 375 million.

The suspect has been taken into custody, while further investigations are underway.
