Do not send intermediate class enrollment appications to ministry

Considering the number of applications received by the Education Ministry, it has decided to re-announce that the Ministry does not issue letters to enroll students to intermediate classes.

The Ministry said earlier the Cabinet had approved this.

The Ministry also said a downloadable application has been published on the Ministry's official website.

The duly filled applications should be sent by registered post to the school where the parents expect to enroll their children.

According to a circular issued to all schools, the Ministry has advised them to make the selections according to the student vacancies under a certain marking scheme, the Ministry said.

The list of the selected students should be sent by the schools to the Education Ministry for approval. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
