Colombo, Oct. 23 (Daily Mirror) - Issues pertaining to the election of a Diyawadana Nimale at the Sri Dalada Maligawa, including the non-eligibility of women Divisional Secretaries to vote, is to be discussed in Parliament tomorrow.

The adjournment debate, moved by MP Chathura Galappaththi, is to be taken up tomorrow in the House, covering this issue and others including the term of the Diyawadana Nilame and the eligibility of a person to hold the position.

The sitting acting Diyawadana has done his time more than once and rules must be changed for a maximum of 2 terms. This Diyawadana office is a money spinner for the office holder. The charity contributions received at the Maligawa must be accounted and properly used for public purposes
