Deadline for 2025 A/L and GIT exam amendments ends Oct. 31



Colombo, October 25 (Daily Mirror) - The Department of Examinations has announced that the deadline for making amendments to names, medium, and subjects for the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination and the 2025 General Information Technology (GIT) Examination will end at midnight on October 31. The Department confirmed that no extensions will be granted beyond this date.

According to the Department, the 2025 A/L Examination is scheduled to take place from November 10 to December 5 across 2,362 examination centres, while the GIT Examination will be conducted on December 6 at 1,665 centres nationwide.

The Department further stated that examination admission cards and school attendance documents for school candidates have already been issued to the respective Zonal Education Offices. School principals have been instructed to collect the documents from the relevant Deputy or Assistant Director of Education in charge of examinations. Admission cards for private applicants have been dispatched via post.

Government school principals may log in to the online portal at onlineexams.gov.lk/eic/ using their school code and password to make any necessary corrections to admission cards. Private school users handling GIT Examination entries may access the designated portal via onlineexams.gov.lk/eic/index.php/clogin/psch using their login credentials.

The Department urges all candidates and school authorities to ensure that any amendments related to candidate names, medium or subject selections are completed online before the deadline.
