Cricketer dies after on-field collision in Minuwangoda

Colombo, Nov. 10 (Daily Mirror) - A 41-year-old man has died following an accident during a cricket match at a playground in the Aluthopola area of Minuwangoda.

Police said the incident occurred when two players collided while attempting to catch a ball during the game. The victim sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the Minuwangoda Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as a resident of Katuwellegama, Palugahawela.

Minuwangoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
