Court calls for an analytical report on Dinesh Schaffter’s laptop computer

The Colombo Chief Magistrate today ordered the Government Analyst to submit in Court an analytical report pertaining to the laptop computers used by late businessman Dinesh Shafter and his family members, in order to facilitate for the ongoing investigations into Shafter's death.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis made this order pursuant to a request made by CID through a motion.

Further magisterial inquiry fixed for May 8.

The panel comprises Prof. Asela Mendis, Prof. D.C.R. Perera, Prof. D.N.P. Fernando, Dr. Siva Subramaniam and Dr. Rohan Ruwanpura are currently examining and holding an inquiry to decide the actual cause of death for Dinesh Shafter.(Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

Why does it take so long to get evidence examined? Can't all the evidence like the phone, laptop and car etc be examined by a single court order? Because you know you will need that information to solve this case. This would be so much faster and more efficient in resolving this case.

Very lethargic process for the high profile myrder. If this is the fate foe a well connected and a very rich man who may have paid millions in taxes then what can you say for the average man in this country. No law no justice but all the time big talk of anvient Kings and what those Kings did 2500 years ago. And all the time big talk of every thing.

Now the plan is like Swiss Embassy case, trap the any family member and file indictment. The case will be automatically dragged and end up in dead end. Since he is already dead.
