We should highly appreciate the valuable attempt of the police officer who tried to apprehend the accused who fled from the custody.Actually some police officers are performing the duties entrusted to them very honestly and diligently. While some officers are tarnishing the good name of the police department by soliciting the bribes and gratifications

My heart goes out to this truly great and noble Sri Lankan hero for his tragic demise. When fat bigwigs and dept chiefs take all the accolades for grand Police work, it's the simple policemen like this who break their backs doing the hard graft, occasionally losing their lives in the process. My respect and Condolences to the family! May your pains fade away with time.

One cannot bring back his life. He must be posthumously elevated in rank. Dependants paid good compensation and pension. A dedicated policeman. One in a thousand. May his soul rest in peace.
