Committee appointed to probe mishap: GMR
A committee has been appointed to investigate yesterday's collision of two trains between Ragama and Peralanda railway stations, Railways General Manager Dhammika Dassanayake said.
All trains on the main line were delayed due to a signal malfunctioning yesterday and an investigation has begun on this, he said.
He said incident was owing to a signal cable which was cut by some elements near the Kelaniya railway station.(Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
