Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) requested President Ranil Wickremesinghe to expedite the appointment of state ministers , party officials said.

Party’s National Organizer Basil Rajapaksa told Daily Mirror that the party’s MPs who were state ministers in the previous government were supposed to meet the President last night to discuss it . Mr. Rajapaksa said the party would give time for the president to form an all party government inclusive of all the parties . However , he said the new Cabinet should be appointed as early as possible unless all party government was realistic .

When making the Appointments 60 can be made Cabinet Ministers and balance 74 can be made State Ministers in addition to those from other Parties.

Why cant we form an efficient hard working young talented cabinet that comprises persons like Kanchana Harin Manusha Rumesh Ramesh and other young Mps from the parliament to run the government and elderly Mps to form councils and committees and most importantly no financial benefits other than the salary for one year. Successful implementation of any project to resolve certain issues a minister can be given one time financial assistance some percentage of the profit generated from the projects. This way many issues in the parliament can be resolved.
