CPC revises fuel prices

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has revised fuel prices, effective from midnight today.

Under the new price revision, Lanka Petrol 92 Octane will now be sold at Rs. 348 per litre, showing an increase of Rs. 20 from the previous rate.

Conversely, Lanka Petrol 95 Octane Euro 4 has seen an increase of Rs. 10 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 375.

Ceypetco has also adjusted the price of diesel. Lanka Auto Diesel now stands at Rs. 308 per litre, reflecting a reduction of Rs. 2. On the other hand, the price of Lanka Super Diesel 4 Star Euro 4 has decreased by Rs. 12, reaching Rs. 358 per litre.

Additionally, the price of Lanka Kerosene has dropped by Rs. 10, resulting in a revised rate of Rs. 266 per litre. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)

This way the government is slowly increasing the price so that people will not feel the increase. I am happy I left that god forsaken country long ago. The political system needs a change very badly.

Minister Kanchana W must give directive for the deliveries to commence form those received as of today, to Petrol Sheds, which adequate stocks of Fuel past 2 weeks FIRST!!!?? Then deal with Sheds which RAN OUT OF FUEL LAST 2 WEEKS due – Profiteering motive, not timely ordering fuel!!! Those who Ran Out of Fuel last week must be pushed down "further back", may be another 2 weeks or UNTIL ORDERS RECEIVED POST PRICE INCREASE are fulfilled and completed!!! These profiteering owners should feel, ‘PAIN

This will trigger inflation to rise, there is no fun of reporting inflation dropped in the past month when there are dependent variables.
