Colombo, Nov. 17 (Daily Mirror) - The Buddha statue of the Sambuddha Jayanthi Vihara in Trincomalee was removed last night for safety, but will be re-erected today, Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala told Parliament today. 

He said the police have been given relevant orders to maintain peace in the area.
