Boats deployed to assist A/L students in flood-affected Galle and Matara

Colombo, November 22 (Daily Mirror) - The Disaster Management Center (DMC) has deployed several boats to assist schoolchildren sitting for this year’s G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination in reaching their examination centers in the flood-affected Galle and Matara districts.

Examinations Department Commissioner General A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage said that the necessary arrangements are currently underway to ensure students can reach the centers without disruption.

The DMC reported that several areas in the two districts have been submerged due to flooding, causing severe traffic difficulties and limiting access by road.
