Audio leak surfaces hours after arrests of Rakitha Rajapaksa, SJB Organiser

Colombo, June 25 (Daily Mirror) - A controversial audio recording allegedly linked to a bribery investigation has surfaced online, just hours after the arrest of Attorney-at-Law Rakitha Rajapaksa and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Horana organiser Charith Abeysinghe by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

The recording, which has rapidly spread across social media platforms and mainstream media networks, is purported to contain conversations involving Rajapaksa, Abeysinghe and the wife of alleged underworld figure Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, known as “Harak Kata”.

According to reports, the leaked audio includes discussions relating to alleged financial transactions connected to efforts to influence official proceedings involving the detained gang leader. 

However, the authenticity of the audio recording has not been independently verified.
