Attack on Katana apparel factory owner due to company’s internal issue: Indika Anuruddha

The attack on the apparel factory owner in Katana is a result of an internal issue within the company, State Minister Indika Anuruddha said today.

State Minister Anuruddha who made a statement in Parliament said it will take some time to uncover information on the internal issue.

"The media has questioned me on this incident and I have told them that it is a result of an internal issue within the company. I have also told them that the investigations will be a time-consuming process,” the State Minister said.

“An employee attached to the Board of Investment has also been involved as he had urged the company concerned to support a certain political leader in the area. This officer has been removed from BOI,” he added.

“No complaint has been lodged against me though an MP has alleged that I am involved in the incident ,” he added. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

Every thing is a time consuming process in Sri Lanka.We know who the culprit is take immediate action.If it is left to the minister documents will go missing and no case will be filed.The owner will leave Sri Lanka and 300employees will lose their jobs and in addition the dependents too will find life difficult .Think of the consequences.
