Army Colonel gives statement over wife’s gun attack

Army Lieutenant Colonel Pradeep Kumara Nettasinghe gave a statement to the Athurugiriya Police today over the shooting of his wife by an unidentified gang at Isurupura, Malabe in Athurugiriya yesterday night.

He arrived at the Athurugiriya Police one hour ago upon the police summoning him.

Police said the 45-year-old victim was shot and was admitted to the National Hospital with gunshot injuries.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the shooting, the Athurugiriya Police OIC Sanjeewa Mahanama said.
