Parliament, March 20 (Daily Mirror)- NPP leader and MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake informed Parliament today that he too has decided to resign from the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).
He told Parliament that it was pointless participating in COPE meetings under the chairmanship of Rohitha Abeygunawardan.
The MP said the current COPE chairman had allegations of fraud and corruption and therefore he decided to resign as a member of the COPE.
Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Duminda Dissanayake has also resigned from the COPE today.

Current Parliament is dead end. Any vote for the government would see it lose. Even current President is not wanted by a vast majority of the public and that will not change in 2024. Better for those still warming seats there to go outside and start a revolution to rid ourselves of the money eating cancer to the public that the current President and Parliament is. There holding on the there jobs when the public wants them all gone, and leaching off the taxes for the benefits to themselves.

But then Anura D has allegations of murder and destroying of public properties and most recently private houses. Allegations should be proved. If not anybody can say anything against anyone.
