American woman found dead in house

Colombo, Nov. 6 (Daily Mirror) - An American woman on a visit to Sri Lanka was found dead in a house at Dharmasoka Mawatha in Aruppola off Kandy.

The deceased, identified as Caitlin Jullie Clarke (55) from America, who had been on a visit to Sri Lanka on a tourist visa was staying at a house rented for three months.

On the previous day she had gone on a trip to Sigiriya and returned. 

Police suspect that she had been a hard drug addict.

The body was referred to the mortuary of the National Hospital, Kandy for a post-mortem examination today.

OIC of the Kandy Tourist police CI Lalith Mahagdara is conducting further investigations.
