The Supreme Court has determined that the amendments to the Pradeshiya Sabha Ordinance, Municipal Council Ordinance and Urban Council Ordinance to reinstate local government members and re-convene the dissolved bodies is inconsistent with the Constitution, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardhane announced today.

This is a eye opening reflection of the government politicos in power who call themselves as law-makers. Now they can be called as law-breakers as they do not possess an iota of knowledge with regard to the constitution of the country.
