We know the assistance they will give -Financial loans and expertise to do business valuations and to determine a price and the number of shares to be issued by converting to company. Then big Multi National Companies will buy CEB and electricity tarriffs will be raised.Peoples rights will gradually erode

CEB is the highest paid and highly overstaffed institution of the government. All politicians are responsible for overstaffing it for political gains. Now if agencies are helping, CEB must terminate a large number with a hand shake payment to make it viable

Government run business enterprises equals to nepotism, corruption, low productivity, outdated technology, same time mountain of debt paid by every citizen of this country. Most of these enterprises have monopolies therefore no competition in the market to deliver best product or service to our people.

This absolute ignoramus of a Minister is putting his foot right in it. USAID is the biggest destabilising force on the Planet. it will be disaster for Sri Lanka to EVER enter into ANY dealings with USAID. The Minister should be sent for a re education course regarding Global destabilising forces, to CUBA! There, he WILL (hopefully) learn the TRUTH - IF he has the neurones for it. MM

First of all get those consumers who have not paid their monthly bill to pay to CEB first. Ghis includes everyone.

What restructuring? Just privatize it and send the excess staff home. Now that most people won’t vote for you do the nation a favor which the other parties will never ever do!
