80 nabbed in illegal Colombo 7 club

More than 80 people were arrested last night following a search operation conducted on an illegal gambling club in Colombo 7, police said.

The operation was conducted with a search warrant issued by the court. Eighty people were arrested over gambling illegally while three others were arrested for managing the club illegally without a valid licence.

The suspects are to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate Court.
