8 students hospitalised due to food poisoning

Eight grade five students of a leading girls’ college in Kandy were admitted to the Kandy General Hospital due to food poisoning this morning, hospital sources said.

The students were said to have experience vertigo when they were admitted. Six children were discharged and the others were not in critical condition, they added. Doctors are conducting further investigations.
