75 mm showers expected in several areas

Colombo, March 18 (Daily Mirror) - Showers exceeding 75 mm are expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, as well as in the Ampara District, the Department of Meteorology said.

According to the forecast, showers or thundershowers will occur at most places across the island after 1.00 p.m., while a few showers may also be experienced in the Eastern Province during the morning hours.

Meanwhile, misty conditions are likely at several locations in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, North-Central and Western Provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts, particularly during the early hours of the morning.
