A total of 48 more COVID-19 deaths were reported out of which 18 individuals have succumbed to the virus in residences, the Government Information Department said.
The statement issued by the Department said that 25 males and 23 females have passed away due to the virus infection.
Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 1,656.

With a "Travel Restriction" if the fatalities are over 40s that shows the gravity of the situation. Dear Hon Mr President, at least now transfer the Command of COVID Operations to the Health Professionals. We dont need to tow a burnt ship to deep sea again.
