24-hour water cut in several Colombo suburbs from June 24



Colombo, June 23 (Daily Mirror) - The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 24-hour interruption to water supply in several areas due to essential maintenance work on the main water transmission line from Labugama and Kalatuwawa to Maharagama.

According to the NWSDB, the water cut will be in effect from 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, until 6.00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.

The affected areas are Galagedara, Homagama, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, Pelenwatte, and Maharagama.

The Board said that the interruption is necessary to facilitate maintenance work on the main supply line and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to use water sparingly and make necessary arrangements in advance.
