22 injured as lorry crosses rail track
At least 22 people were injured when a lorry crossed a railway line between Gampola and Gelioya this morning, Police said.They said the main road and the railway line were adjacent to each other and the lorry driver who is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel and had resulted in the lorry moved across the rail track.
However, there were no trains on the track at the time.
Police said the injured were admitted to the Gampola and Peradeniya hospitals.
