18 arrested for attacking, obstructing duty of cops in Moratuwa

Moratuwa Police have arrested 18 people, including 10 women for allegedly assaulting and obstructing duties of two policemen in Moratuwa.

The incident had taken place when the two policemen had gone to the Madangahawatta area to investigate a complaint.

Police said a police sergeant and a constable were injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

One injured Policeman is being treated at the ICU, the police said.
