175,000+ tourists visit Sri Lanka in March

Colombo, April 2 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka welcomed 175,661 tourists during the first 29 days of March 2026, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) said.
The latest report issued by the SLTDA revealed that a total of 732,316 tourists have arrived in the country between January 1 and March 29, 2026.
The majority of tourist arrivals were recorded from key source markets, including India, United Kingdom, Russia, China, Germany and Australia, the report added.
