15 dead, 50 injured in Kothmale landslide

Colombo, Nov. 29 (Daily Mirror) - A sudden landslide in the Rambodagala area of Kothmale has claimed the lives of 15 people, authorities reported a short while ago.

Around 50 others were injured and have been admitted to Kothmale Hospital. The landslide occurred over an area extending about 4 kilometers.

The Regional Secretariat of Kothmale District said all entrance roads to Rambodagala are currently blocked, hampering rescue and relief operations.
