12 Parliament staff members test Covid positive

A total of 12 staff members of Parliament tested positive to Covid-19  following Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) carried out today, Sergeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando said.

He said a total of 275 Random RTAs were performed on MPs, Parliament staff, security personnel and Parliament journalists today.

He said action has been taken to identify their first contacts through CCTV footages and they have been sent for quarantine. (AS & YP)
