11 dead, multiple persons missing as landslides hit Badulla district

Colombo, Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror) - At least 11 persons have been confirmed dead and seven others remain missing after a series of landslides, and rock and earth falls struck seven locations across the Badulla district.

According to the District Secretary of Badulla, rescue teams, including police, military personnel, and Disaster Management Centre (DMC) officials, are continuing search and rescue operations.

Furthermore, two individuals from Pathahewaheta and two from Udadumbara, in the Kandy district are reported missing following landslides.
