10% of petrol distributed across country: Bowser Asso.

Only 10% of petrol is  currently being distributed throughout the country, the Ceylon Petroleum Private Bowser Owners Association (CPPBOA) said today.

As Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe claimed yesterday, petrol at the CPC storages is hitting the bottom.

However, diesel is being distributed and the prevailing shotage will be restored in three days, the association said.

However, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday requested the public not to queue up or top up excessively for the next three days until the 1,190 fuel stations countrywide will be supplied with adequate fuel. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
