The Gangodawila magistrate today revoked a CID decision to seal the Nugegoda office of ‘Lanka’ newspapers as there was no threat to national security. The CID sealed the office on the basis an article on the paper was a threat to national security.

The Sri Lankan government rejected a referendum conducted by the UK Tamil Diaspora over the weekend endorsing the principle of Tamil Eelam. Minister Kehiliya Rambukwella said Sri Lanka is not concerned of any referendum conducted by any country.
