Associated Motorways (Private) Limited (AMW) is set to launch the revolutionary premium hatchback, Suzuki Baleno, in Sri Lanka, in the coming days.
The Baleno is an upmarket which has taken India’s premium compact segment by storm.
Dubbed ‘The World Car’, the Baleno is manufactured exclusively in India and marketed in over 100 countries around the world which include USA, UK and Australia. It has won praise from experts for its superior ride and handling, safety, fuel efficiency and low noise and harshness.
The Suzuki Baleno premium hatchback is being offered to the Sri Lankan market in the fully loaded “Zeta” guise with a petrol 1.2L VVT engine which is harmonized with a CVT(continuously variable transmission)gearbox. This combination offers dynamic and seamless power distribution within all RPM ranges and averages an outstanding fuel economy of 21.4 Km/l.
The new generation platform utilized by the Baleno is a result of Suzuki’s quest to achieve a lighter but also a more rigid than conventional platform which enables the vehicle to balance safety, fuel efficiency and superior driving performance, linked to a quieter and refined ride.
The dynamic and energetic Baleno’s exterior is designed on a ‘liquid flow’ silhouette while plush roomy interiors and class leading features are among the highlights of this car with dual airbags and anti-lock brakes (ABS) provided as standard fitment across all variants. Many of the features found in the Baleno are offered for the first time in the premium hatchback segment.
AMW’s Marketing Manager for Suzuki, Wickum Chandra said, “The Suzuki Baleno will offer a new premium experience to our customers. Using the latest and innovative technologies, this vehicle is aimed at meeting the design and performance criteria of customers who are seeking vehicles that are premium, frugal and friendly to the environment and the society as a whole”.
