This appears to be the act of some group planning mayhem due to frustration unable to achieve their dreams any other way, except chaos in the state. Size of the bombs/explosions (138 killed) precision Planning

This is all an attempt to destabilise the country. To show security is weak and more 'powerful' command is needed. Let's pray for the nation not to go back to that era!

Behold the Adurin Eliyata! Start of a new era.
At least this time act and fast track the investigation and punish the perpetrators. Sunday, 21 April 2019 10:51 AM
The govt will arrest, remand and finally bail the perpetrators. And finally every thing is forgotten as their (govt's) voter base will get effected. See what happened to those who were arrested for the Digana incident where whole towns and people and property were raised to the ground. These rascals are roaming about scot free . This is the wonder of Asia

Heard that initial intelligence reports point at ISIS. The two church bombs in kochchikade and negombo had been suicide bombs. A few days back a biker in kaththankudi was arrested with explosives. Perhaps that explains the explosion in Batti church...govt had been warned by intelligence but govt ignored reports

Tarik Hussain Sunday, 21 April 2019 12:24 PM
This doesn’t look like a terrorist group, they usually claim that they did it for publicity. This looks political, to create a problem between religions. Haven’t they seen enough about other countries going to hell. Why the hotels though? All of them are top tier. But all of these are in a specific area where Muslims are usually seen, could this be political or a hate crime. True Muslims don’t hate anyone, We also follow “Love thy Neighbour”. Probably a politician or an uneducated child who calls himself a Muslim.
mackie noohuthambi Sunday, 21 April 2019 01:33 PM
may god save sri lanka. just after 10 years, we had such explosions. now for the last `10 years sri lanka has become land of peace. what happened cannot be even dreamt. first of all the government of sri lanka should ban all facebook and whattsup comments which will falsibly create more problems. they will pour oil in the fire.

Just when the wounds of war are healing, though at a slower pace, this carnage happens. Whatever the motive, whomever the persons were involved and whatever his/her political, ethnicity and/or religion is, a swift and authenticated response is the need of the hour. We know that this will have all the twists and turns, blame games and finger pointing by our political rascals. Our intelligence unit and judiciary's integrity is tested. Hence prevail upon the need with utmost sincerity. Prayers to all the victims of this cruelty.
