Tree falls on trishaw- three dead

A huge turpentine tree hanging over Mapakanda- Nawalpitiya road in Dekinda had fallen on a trishaw causing the death of three passengers including a 15- year - old schoolboy.   
The driver who received injuries was admitted to Nawalapitiya Base hospital. The trishaw was transporting two women and a schoolboy from Galaboda to Nawalapitiya last morning when it faced the tragedy near the Mapakanda temple in Dekinda. Police and the residents logged and removed tree to extricate the bodies from the wreckage. Nawalapitiyia police are conducting further investigations.
