Sing-Along with Marians on July 3rd 2026

The Old Senanayakians Group of 86 of D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo, has announced a special musical evening featuring renowned Sri Lankan artist Nalin Perera and his popular band The Marians. 

The event, titled “An Evening of Timeless Melodies”, will be held on July 3, 2026, at The Grand Maitland Hotel, commencing at 7.00 p.m. 

Organised as a family-friendly evening of music and dancing, the event aims to raise funds in support of development projects at D. S. Senanayake College. The initiative forms part of the preparations leading up to the college’s 60th anniversary celebrations in 2027, with alumni groups working together to contribute towards infrastructure and educational improvements that will benefit future generations of students. 

Addressing the media, Dammika Weerakoon, President of the DSS 1986 Batch, emphasised the importance of alumni support in advancing the college’s development goals and encouraged former students, their families, and well-wishers to participate in the event. 

Members of the organising committee present at the media briefing included Treasurer W.A. Jayasiri Rohan, Committee Members Ushan Samaraweera, Azad Hassan, and Rumy Fayaz. 

The organisers have extended an open invitation to Old Senanayakians, their families, and supporters to join the celebration and contribute to this worthy cause while enjoying an evening of memorable music and entertainment.
