Residents and commuters complained that they have to face many difficulties due to stray cattle and dogs roaming in the Ja-Ela town and its by-roads .
They said stray dogs try to attack the passers by and there were a few incidents of people getting bitten by stray dogs, exposing them to the risk of rabies.
They further said stray cattle obstruct vehicular movement along the roads causing traffic congestion.

The residents said most of the stray animals had been left abandoned by their former owners and hoped that action would be taken by the relevant authorities with regard to this matter.
