The World’s Greatest Detective is going to need more than one film. Robert Pattinson was not only recently confirmed to star in The Batman but it has since been revealed that the role is planned for a trilogy. Director Matt Reeves seemingly supported Deadline’s report as he posted a .GIF of the 33-year-old actor with three bat emojis on Monday. No doubt hardcore fans of Batman will be pleased to know that there will be more emphasis on  Bruce Wayne’s investigative skills.

Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter back in January that his idea for the series of films is 'very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale.

'It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It’s more Batman in his detective mode that we’ve seen in the films.  The comics have a history of that. [Bruce Wayne] is supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been.’

Last week it was reported that Warner Bros. officially approved Pattinson for The Batman.

He fought for the ultimate role as the famed Caped Crusaderas after he had to battle his way through screen testing against Nicholas Hoult to portray the coveted superhero.
