Sujeewa to bow out of politics

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Deputy General Secretary Sujeewa Senasinghe has resigned from his post and has decided to bow out of politics.   

Mr. Senasinghe said in a statement that he made this decision, following his defeat in the recent general elections.   
“I decided to bow out of politics after I lost my seat in Parliament at the general election,” he said in a statement.   
Mr. Senasinghe was one of the pioneers behind the forming of SJB together with current Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa after defecting from the UNP in March this year. He was a non cabinet minister of the Yahapalana Government and was also a former member of the Committee on Public Enterprises ( COPE).
