Match-fixing controversy Aravinda gives statement to SIU

Former Selection Committee Chairman Aravinda de Silva reported to the Sports Ministry’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on sports-related corruption yesterday, to record a statement on the match-fixing allegations made by former sports minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage. 

 He left the premises after giving a 5-hour long statement. The former minister recently claimed that the 2011 Cricket World Cup Final between Sri Lanka and India was fixed.
