21 Police officers at Dalada Maligawa tested COVID-19 positive

Kandy Sri Dalada Maligawa was closed for pilgrims and disinfected when 21 police officers attached to the Sri Dalada Maligawa Police Post were found COVID-19 positive. 

SSP Kandy Sudath Masinghe said 153 police officers attached to the Sri Dalada Maligawa police post were subject to PCR tests when a CI and an IP had contracted COVID-19 and 21 of them were confirmed as positive. 
He said 231 police officers attached to the Sri Dalada Maligawa security division were quarantined and that they were substituted by a group of officers from other areas.
