The largest selling independent English daily in Sri Lanka, Mirror was started in 1996 as a weekly. In 1999 it went on to become a daily. Currently it enjoys a circulation of around 30,000 copies and a readership of about 150,000. The Daily Mirror's independent editorial stand and its reliable and balanced presentation of the news have over the years, won for it the serious attention and regard of the people who matter in Sri Lanka and abroad.
