Passengers of Qatari, Canadian or Bahraini nationalities or any passenger who has a travel history to Qatar, Canada or Bahrain within the last 14 days will not be permitted to land in Sri Lanka with effect from 17 March midnight for a period of two weeks, Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka said.
Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Upul Dharmadasa has informed all airlines about the direction, following the instructions from Sri Lanka Health Authorities.
However, this restriction would not apply to passengers transiting Qatar, Canada or Bahrain, if they are not nationals of Qatar, Canada or Bahrain. “
“Restriction would also not apply on those who have not visited these three countries in the last 14 days and they do not have a travel history in the last 14days in the previously restricted countries such as Italy, Iran, South Korea, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark,” the Chairman said in a statement.

What a joke this is. [quote} However, this restriction would not apply to passengers transiting Qatar, Canada or Bahrain, if they are not nationals of Qatar, Canada or Bahrain. “[/quote] Is this to mean that transit passengers do not interact with others in the airport transit terminal?
