The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) today requested the Speaker to allocate two days to debate the forensic audit report on the Central Bank bond scam.
JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his gratitude to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on his decision to table the report despite the Attorney General’s advise to keep it under wraps.
He said just tabling the report was not good enough but pointed out that it was vital to debate the report as it had revealed the names of those involved in the bond scams.
When Mr. Dissanayake inquired if copies of the report would be given to all the MPs; the Speaker said a copy of the report would be kept in the library and meanwhile, steps would be taken to provide a copy of the report to all MPs within a couple of days.
The Speaker said a party leaders' meeting would be convened soon and a decision taken on the dates for the debate. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)

Better to make the report public. A soft copy may be made available over the Parliament web site as we have a right to know who robbed our money.

The JVP is an insignifact force in Lanka politics. With a history of violence in par with the LTTE it must first win the trust of the people, a highly unlikely event in this millennium.

Mr less than 3% you have no credibility anymore because of your underhand dealings with UNP. You didn't even get your election deposit. People know when needed you did not go against the UNP's anti SL policies. Just keep your mouth shut.
