The leader of the JVP Anura Kumara Dissanayake today said that they would make a decision whether to remain in the National Executive Committee (NEC) consequent to the formation of the National Government.

Addressing a news conference at the JVP Headquarters, Dissanayake said the number of Cabinet Ministers was more than the promise given during the Presidential Poll and that a decision was to be taken whether they could remain in the Executive Committee at this level.

He said that he was going to question the way Nimal Siripala de Silva acted as the Opposition leader when several SLFP members had joined the National Government. (Yohan Perera and Sanath Desmond)

THE JVP STANDS UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT..... THE JVP SHOULD BE ADMIRED...... WE STOOD UNITED TO ACHIEVE THIS PURPOSE....... HOWEVER IT IS SAD TO SEE THAT WHAT WAS PROMISED IS NOT WHAT IS BEING DONE TODAY..... IF MR. MAITHRIPALA SIRISENA STOOD HIS GROUND AND HAD THE THIEVES, THE DRUG KINGPINS AND PEDDLARS, THE CRIMINALS OF REMANDED THE PRESENT JOINT GOVERNMENT WOULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE OF WINNING THE GENERAL ELECTIONS AND HAVING A STABLE GOVERNMENT MINUS THE ROGUES OF THE SLFP AND THE FORMER REGIME....... HOWEVER THE JVP HAS AN EXCELLENT CHANCE OF WINNING THE FORTHCOMING ELECTIONS ......

    shaminie Monday, 23 March 2015 04:02 PM

SLFP was already in the NEC. if JVP walks away that would just be a publicity stunt. Nothing more. AKD should improve his tolerance and contribute to political reforms to come. we all know that these new ministers are rajapkasa crooks and utterly corrupted ones. We all are helpless at this hour and this is the cost all nation have to bear for the abolition of EP.
