The new regime, which was part and parcel of a corrupt regime has just taken over a corrupt system promising to make it uncorrupt. The question is, the Rajapakse regime made it a point to ingrain corruption at all levels, therefore when A is charged, A is able to comfortably point the finger at B, C, D until Z.

How can government take action without real evidence and wrong-doers? It was just a gimmick to get votes - ask your layman minister. The most corrupted persons are still in the cabinet and in SLFP under new President as well.

I am sure the government is doing what they promised but the speed has been slow. The previous regime has pumped billions of cash into the hands of trouble makers and any action without making a supportive environment might be disastrous.

This monk could not understand the gravity of the campaign he lead. In the end we lost the leadership and the spirit of a rising nation due to allegations unproved and bogus promises. Monk was cheated which is alright as an individual. but he mislead millions. Enjoy yahapalanaya!

He does not have to worry for long. If this govt. does not walk the talk they will be dealt with in April. The consequences will be unfathomable. So lets hope they will wake up and deliver what they promised.
