I think Buddhist monks should stay away from politics and violence. They have their Vinaya rules and should be seen exemplary. Monk in other countries are compared with other religions and people are judgmental and will look for faults to discredit . We see monks in politics, fighting, imposter monks etc. being a Buddhist country we should respect and protect our monks and help them to pursue their directions.
